*Lacquer artisan born in Ishikawa prefecture, Kaga city. Was taught lacquerware techniques from his father. Specializes in lacquer utensils for the tea ceremony. He specializes in Yamanaka-nuri, where the natural beauty of the grain of the wood is preserved and highlighted. His work is held in high esteem and produced in the Yamanakaonsen Higashimachi district in Kaga city, where a large amount of high quality lacquerware is produced.
