Published by Nishinomiya Shoin (Shinagawa Kiyoomi) October 1940. Block-cutters: Hino Keikichi, Komeda Shintarō and Fujikawa Manjirō Printer: Mitsumoto Kaichi Accompanying text ponders the sudden increase of this vocation during the last five years in Tokyo at the time. Sanzō: ‘[..] It does not seem appropriate to a civilised existence that one should polish shoes and another have his shoes polished at the corner of the street.’
