The inset tells the story of how the rebels of Mount Ōe wanted to rob the capital in 978-82, and how Minamoto no Yorimitsu was commisioned by the Emperor to subdue them. Yorimitsu was helped by his subordinates including the four valiants nicknamed the Four Deva Kings: Watanabe no Tsuna, Sakata Kintoki, Urabe Suetake, and Usui Sadamitsu.
