Description: No. 12 Minamoto no Yorimitsu and his Four Deva Kings at Ōyeyama (大江山四天王), from the series Eastern brocades: day and night compared (Azuma Nishiki Chūya Kurabe 東錦晝夜竸). Published by Kobayashi Tetsujiro in 1886. The inset tells the story of how the rebels of Mount Ōe wanted to rob the capital in 978-82, and how Minamoto no Yorimitsu was commisioned by the Emperor to subdue them. Yorimitsu was helped by his subordinates including the four valiants nicknamed the Four Deva Kings: Watanabe no Tsuna, Sakata Kintoki, Urabe Suetake, and Usui Sadamitsu. He easily defeated the rebels' leader (Shuten Dōji).
